SGA Biography Eric Cochran & Kody Kramme
Before he began his career with American Income Life Insurance Company, Eric Cochran was an Operations Manager. He joined AIL in 2007 when told about the career path, which eventually led him to his current position as State General Agent in Iowa. His other reasons for joining American Income Life were the financial rewards and the resources provided for Representatives. Eric feels the same resources are still available with the Company for new Representatives and says “AIL has the systems and support to allow anyone to meet their career goals. If you have the passion and desire to succeed, then nothing will stop you from achieving your goals.”
Eric noticed American Income Life was a different kind of Company as soon as he started his career. “I have always been in a position where I’ve had the ability to help others. But sometimes our personal lives can take a U-turn. I’d always have to choose either my job, or not providing for my family. But at AIL, I didn’t have to choose.” The Company, and the people working for the Company, can definitely make a difference in a person’s success. In Eric’s case, it was a positive difference.
Eric finds the most rewarding thing about joining AIL is the ability to change lives. Helping others doesn’t just involve people in the Company; Eric also helps policyholders. “I’ve seen how our products have changed our policyholders’ lives. Not only the products, but the support they get when they need us the most.” For Eric Cochran, helping others also translates to his personal life. He works with the youth in his church as well as with a charitable organization called Dream Factory, which grants wishes for children with illnesses.
Kody Kramme graduated from Iowa State University with degrees in Business Management and Business Marketing. He intended to relocate to Kansas City and work in the financial services industry, but he interviewed with American Income Life Insurance Company (AIL) in the fall of 2010, and the opportunity was so compelling he decided to stay.
A family man himself, Kody believes in the ability of AIL’s products to be of service to the community by “allowing our clients to focus on family instead of financial strains” in the most devastating times. His Agency is active in the community by supporting charitable organizations in which Agency members are personally involved. He says the Make a Wish Foundation, which works to honor special wishes of seriously ill children, holds a special place in his heart.
Initially, Kody was drawn to AIL by the opportunity to be responsible for not only his own personal growth, but to influence others as well. He is proud of having achieved the position of Master General Agent in only six months as well as helping his SGA open six satellite offices in as many years. But his greatest source of pride is “having influenced people to become leaders who in turn have made a significant impact on others’ careers and lives.”
Kody believes his Agency also contributes to the community by offering financial and professional prosperity, as well as the chance to impact one’s own life in the same way. ”I have met many people who have a vision of themselves and what they would like to become. I have been able to influence and watch people with zero experience or support become that vision of themselves,” he says.
To those considering a sales or leadership career with AIL, Kody says, “If you truly have a passion for putting others in the best position to succeed, there is no better place than leadership with AIL.”
